The Old Penarthians RFC Annual seven-a-side tournament is the oldest running sevens competition in Wales! The tournament is competed for by 16 scratch teams made up from former pupils of different schools.

Originally from the locality but, now from all over South Wales, the West Country and France.The inaugural event was held in 1950 and was won by the host club defeating Old Howardians by 8 points to 6 and has since been won by more than 20 different teams.
